If your school uses Chalkby
Parents, students and staff: your school holds your records and decides what is kept. It is the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Ask the school office first. In Chalkby the school can give you a copy of your records, correct them, or remove them, except what the law requires a school to keep.
If the school does not answer, or you need help, write to us. We will pass your request to the school and help it act on it.
If you wrote to us on this website
Demo requests and messages sent through chalkby.com are kept by Chalkby. Write to us to get a copy of what you sent, or to have it corrected or deleted.
How to write to us
Use the contact form. Please include:
- your name and how we can reach you;
- the school's name, if your records are kept by a school;
- what you would like: a copy, a correction, or deletion, and of which data.
Before we act we may ask you to confirm who you are, so that nobody else can see or remove your data. We reply to every request and tell you what was done.
The apps
What the parent, staff and driver apps keep, and how long, is in the apps privacy policy. Accounts in the apps are created by the school, so the school removes them.
